Our Charter
We send our greetings to all the people and communities of this vibrant and increasingly diverse city. We commit to work together for peace, goodwill and understanding in all our relationships, and between all our communities, and we will promote in our words and deeds respect for every person and community in this city. We value the richness and diversity of each other’s culture, traditions and beliefs. We recognise that we share a common humanity and that we are all members of one race, the human race.
We believe that living together requires us to work together for these aims in our families and communities in Newcastle. We encourage all in our city to join us in seeking to build a city for peace and inclusion and rejecting intolerance, prejudice and divisiveness.
