Our Commitments

We recognise that:
• Many people religious belief will constitute their deepest convictions and will inform all aspects of their lives;
• We need to have an awareness of the role religion and belief may have in the lives of individuals;
• In Newcastle, we have places of worship of every Christian denomination as well as Muslim Mosques, Sikh Temples (Gudwaras), Jewish Synagogues, Hindu Temples (Mandirs), Baha'i spiritual assemblies, Chinese Christian Churches and many others;
• We need to learn and understand other people's beliefs and to value and respect other people's freedom to express their beliefs.
