St George's Day, 23 April 2010

We served traditional English breakfast to members of our armed forces before raising St George's flag outside the Civic Centre in Newcastle upon Tyne. There was a procession and we gathered together to give thanks for the service and sacrifice of current and former members of the armed forces in the pursuit of peace. Entertainment included Morris dancers, a pipe band and there was a market outside the Civic Centre.
